About me
I’m Leif Li — a photographer and filmmaker who sees image-making as a quiet language of life.
Before moving to Canada, I worked in China as a sports journalist, portrait and commercial photographer, product photographer, wedding photographer, and independent filmmaker. Whether capturing high-intensity moments on the field, shaping emotion through portraiture, translating physical texture into product visuals, or documenting love and human connection through weddings, I’ve always sought to express honesty, rhythm, and atmosphere through the lens.
After relocating to Canada, I studied Event Media Production at Seneca Polytechnic, where I created the official promotional video for the program. During my time there, I also worked as a photographer for Seneca Recreation, documenting the dynamic energy of student athletics and on-campus events.
My visual language is shaped by Eastern aesthetics — minimalist, emotional, and intentionally slow. I’m drawn to street photography, natural light, and moments where silence speaks, and stillness lingers.
Through Leafveil Studio, I treat each frame as a quiet prayer — where presence becomes light, and light becomes memory.
